Self portrait

So I have made some more creative work lately. One of things I've been busy with is drawing myself for a schoolproject. Yesterday I sat down for a few hours to draw with 2B pencil. Because of the softness of the pencil I'm able to make good layered shadow, to make the drawing more dark though I need a harder pencil. At the end of the day my fingers hurted from squeezing the pencil to hard and to long :PI wasn't rly happy with the result and kind of dissapointed in myself I never took the time to practise drawing more. Anyway I first wanted to show you the real drawing, and after that; the one with the colour layer I put over it in photoshop.I love the drawing with the black-red colours. Gives the expression much more power. This would be my sad expression, the idea for the schoolproject is to make create different expressions in all drawings (this was suposed to be the neutral one). I've cheated a bit I guess because I could have rly made this drawing with black and red colours without using photoshop, but therefor I need material I want to try later on, first have to practise more sketching .
